Retro to Metro - Tamil Jamming Chennai

Get ready to sing, dance, and celebrate Tamil music with Retro to Metro - Tamil Jamming Chennai, a high-energy jamming experience where the audience becomes an important part of the show.

Presented by Unherd, the event brings together Tamil music lovers for a large-scale sing-along celebration. Instead of simply sitting back and watching a concert, you are invited to sing along with the live band, follow the lyrics on screen, and become part of one massive chorus. The event is designed around the idea that concerts are meant to be sung, not just watched.

The musical journey moves across generations and styles. Expect everything from 60s classics and 2K hits to retro favourites and Gen-Z anthems. The playlist also travels from the music of legends such as Ilaiyaraaja and A.R. Rahman to contemporary sounds associated with Anirudh, along with mass favourites, folk kuthu, and popular modern tracks.

With 100+ songs and 1,000+ voices, Retro to Metro is built to create a shared musical experience. Familiar songs become group memories, strangers become a chorus, and every attendee gets a chance to add their own voice to the celebration.

The event brings together different generations through the universal love of Tamil music. Whether you grew up with cassette-era classics or discover your favourite songs through today's streaming platforms, there is something to sing along to.

Expect a live band, lyrics on screen, high-energy music, nostalgia, dancing, and plenty of crowd participation. It is more than a conventional concert—it is a community-powered night where everyone gets to be part of the performance.
