Kala Unboxed

Kala Unboxed is a thoughtfully curated live-performance series created to bring audiences closer to the heart of artistic expression. Rather than being a conventional large-scale concert, Kala Unboxed focuses on creating an intimate environment where artists can share their craft with greater openness, spontaneity and connection.

The series celebrates the diverse world of Indian performing arts, with performances that can explore classical traditions, contemporary interpretations, experimental ideas and cross-cultural collaborations. Each edition offers audiences an opportunity to discover a different artistic perspective while experiencing the depth and beauty of live performance.

Previous Kala Unboxed editions have featured accomplished musicians and collaborations, including jugalbandi performances bringing together artists from different musical traditions. The series has also featured performances involving instruments such as tabla, mridangam and dholak, highlighting the richness of Indian rhythmic traditions.

What makes Kala Unboxed special is its emphasis on the relationship between performer and listener. The intimate format allows audiences to experience music and art in a more personal way, where every note, rhythm, movement and artistic moment can be appreciated without the distance often associated with large concert venues.

Whether you are a passionate follower of Indian classical music, an admirer of performing arts, or simply someone looking to discover meaningful live cultural experiences, Kala Unboxed offers an opportunity to listen, observe, connect and celebrate the timeless power of live art.

Kala Unboxed is designed for audiences who appreciate intimate live performances and the richness of Indian performing arts. The series brings artists and listeners closer together, creating an atmosphere where emotion, spontaneity and artistic expression can be experienced more personally.
